Make sure to REPIN the recipe 🙂
This recipe is a little different in the recipe box I found a little recipe book from carnation and one of the recipes was for a Macaroni and Cheese recipe – I am not too sure how old the booklet is but I think it must be over 60 years old
I am VERY excited this is the Eighth from Marie the first recipe ( Spinach and Artichoke Dip Recipe ( Recipes from Marie) )
If you have no idea who Marie is – go HERE – I found a vintage recipe box in a local antique store so I am making and posting one her recipes weekly on Tuesday
Today is Quick Macaroni & Cheese
I really hope you check back weekly for another recipe from Marie — pretty please comment ( let’s make this like a little community)
You will be able to tell which recipes are hers by the flower on the picture above 🙂
So I ended up adding about 1.5 Cups of Tillamook Sharp Cheddar Cheese to the top of the casserole since I wanted that crispy top ( you know the one I am talking about)
Here is the booklet I found in Marie’s Recipe Box
I cannot wait to try the other recipe — lookie the book even has a coupon — should I try and send it in 😉 ( My dad knows the area and says that company has not been at that address for at least 40 years)
I made the casserole – my mom tried it right away and said that it tastes like her mother’s – which is a high compliment 🙂
I am happy that I decided to add the extra cheese — and the dish was pretty quick – you do not have to cook the dish in the oven. If you simple made it on the stovetop it would be done in about 20 minutes from start to finish
This recipe makes about 8 servings – it also reheats very well ( Eric had the rest of the casserole for lunch the next day)
If you make the Quick Macaroni & Cheese – Marie Recipe make sure to comment and let you know what you thought 🙂
