DIY Seashell Candles

Make sure to REPIN this craft 🙂

If you do not know I love candles – I am totally a candle gal and I love being able to make my own candles with their own scents 🙂

If you have missed my first candle tutorial – it is HERE – Teacup Candle DIY

Because it is summer I thought it would be fun to do a  DIY Seashell Candle — you will not believe how easy they are to make

What I love most is that it is really unique – you can use different size seashells – you can even go to the beach and pick your own ( I personally bought mine from Amazon but if there was a beach close by I would of picked them up there)

Another great thing about buying your own seashells is that they do not smell like the sea and they are already clean for you 🙂

For the candle wax – which I bought from Amazon as well I went for beach scents ( I will be linking the wax below)

Depending on the size of your shell the “Seashell Candles” lasts for a varying amount of time – It is about 2 hours is what I noticed

DIY Seashell Candles

For display I went to my local hardware store and picked up sand – it was like $5 for 25 pounds of sand ( PRETTY CRAZY RIGHT ?!) so now I have a lifetime supply of sand

I used a glass bowl filled with sand and scattered the candles and other shells in the bowl — I am in love!

I made a short tutorial video explaining everything – it is under 2 minutes 🙂

We found a lot of shells on the beach a couple of weeks ago and I think they would be perfect for this. I like the idea of putting a few in the jar with sand. Just wondering how many times you could reuse the same shell or would you need to use another one to make a candle?
